Spider and I

"Spider and I", Brian Eno, del álbum "Before And After Science", 1977

Spider and I sit watching the sky      Araña y yo nos sentamos mirando al cielo
On a world without sound                        En un mundo sin sonido
We knit a web to catch one tiny fly Tejemos una red para atrapar una pequeña mosca
For our world without sound                Para nuestro mundo sin sonido
We sleep in the mornings                    Dormimos en las mañanas
We dream of a ship that sails away     Soñamos con un barco que navega lejos
A thousand miles away.                   A miles de kilómetros de distancia.

Brian Eno-Harold Budd, "Foreshadowed", del álbum "The Pearl", 1984

So long ago,
I was broken and numb.
I was hurting inside,
But no one seemed to care.
Walking around in circles,
Not knowing where to go.
I had a grim secret,
Which no one else knew.
The curse of awareness,
Weighing me down.
I was hiding in the shadows,
Waiting for the tim,
My dream would finally come true.
Seperated from the happiness,
I longed for.
But thet day I saw your face,
There was a new feeling.
And as time went on,
I realized the signs.
Just like in my dreams,
It was all there.
The hurt, the pain, the suffering.
All the pieces fit togther.
I know the pain you've going through.
It's the same as before.
I'll follow the signs,
And wait for the time.
I know how this will end.
I've been waiting,
For so long
They don't understand,
They've never understood.
This is for real.
I can feel it in my heart and soul.
They don't believe me.
But they don't know all the facts.
All the pain before,
And all the sorrow,
Over something so small.
I realize now,
It was all foreshadowing for this.
It was giving me signs,
So I would know what to do.
It was showing me the way,
So I could make the right choices.
It was foreshadowing,
All I needed.
It has shown me the way.

The Memory of Trees

Enya, "The Memory of Trees", del álbum del mismo título, 1995

Foto abril 2013.

Estar árbol a veces, es quedarse mirando
(sin dejar de crecer) el agua humanidad
y llenarse de pájaros para poder, cantando,
reflejar en las ondas quietud y soledad.

"Discurso por las flores", Carlos Pellicer, 1897-1977
